Project Overview

Nestled within a relaxed coastal neighbourhood, the Park project is a knockdown rebuild that transforms a long-held family property into a contemporary forever home. Having owned the land for many years, the owners knew they didn't want to leave the area they loved. Instead, they partnered with Berrell Homes to create a home that embraced the coastal lifestyle while delivering the quality, functionality and timeless design they had always envisioned.

Designed through the Berrell Homes design process, every aspect of the home was carefully considered to maximise natural light, create generous living spaces and provide a home that will continue to support their lifestyle for many years to come.

The Vision

The brief was simple: create alight-filled coastal home that felt spacious, welcoming and connected to its surroundings.

Drawing inspiration from the nearby coastline and surrounding mountain views, the design incorporates high raked ceilings, open-plan living and a neutral palette of earthy materials to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. The owners also placed significant importance on build quality and efficiency, ensuring their forever home would not only look exceptional but also stand the test of time.

Standout Features

Exterior

The home's façade immediately captures attention through its balance of contemporary architecture and natural materials. Recycled brickwork introduces warmth and texture, while the vertical Decowood battens add depth and a refined coastal character. The Geostone driveway and exposed aggregate pathways complete the exterior, creating a cohesive streetscape that feels both modern and timeless.

Interior

Inside, the expansive open-plan kitchen, dining and living area forms the heart of the home. Raked ceilings create an incredible sense of volume while allowing natural light to flood the interior throughout the day. The seamless connection to the semi-enclosed alfresco extends the living space outdoors, creating the perfect setting for entertaining or simply enjoying the backyard in every season.
